Role: Business Development Manager

Location: hybrid 3 days a week in Hawthorne, CA

Salary: $120-140k + commission

Clutch is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager for a client of ours.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

(In partnership with the SVP)

• Partner with the Senior Vice President to advance RFPs from qualification through submission and close

• Drive day-to-day RFP execution, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and internal coordination are tightly managed

• Organize active pursuits to streamline workflows and alleviate pressure on Creative and Production teams

• Compile scope documentation, pricing inputs, and presentation materials with precision and clarity

• Uphold established pitch strategies, scoping frameworks, and pricing structures

• Surface workflow improvements and provide informed recommendations to senior leadership

• Maintain clear alignment across teams regarding pursuit milestones, roles, and submission standards Client Relations & Pipeline Development

• Support proactive relationship development across new and existing accounts

• Maintain visibility and organization of the new business pipeline for leadership review

• Prepare for and participate in pitch meetings and presentations alongside senior leadership

• Collaborate with Producers to identify and pursue repeat and expansion opportunities Agency Narrative & Market Positioning

• Partner with Marketing and Leadership to ensure all sales tools accurately reflect the client's full-service offering

• Contribute to the development of compelling case studies, pitch decks, and sector-specific storytelling Assets

• Help ensure consistency in how the agency presents its value proposition across categories and client's organic Account Growth Support

• Collaborate with Producers and senior leadership to identify strategic growth pathways within key accounts

• Assist in structuring growth-road mapping conversations and materials

• Support strategic reintroduction efforts aligned with evolving agency positioning

• Share client and market insights to strengthen cross-team alignment and continuous improvement

• Work alongside the SVP and Director of Client Partnerships to support targeted sector initiatives

• Develop tailored outreach materials and category-relevant storytelling frameworks

• Support outbound engagement aligned with approved growth priorities

• Cultivate referral relationships through partners, consultants, and industry networks

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• 3–5 years in experiential marketing, brand activations, or event production; background in account management, client services, or business development

• Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects while building strong, long-term client relationships

• Skilled at presenting creative ideas, selling concepts, and identifying new business opportunities

• Strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills; thrives in fast-paced environments

• Deep understanding of event production processes (creative, fabrication, logistics, technical)

• Proficient in budgeting, estimating, and tools/platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Trello, Slack, Mac)

• Collaborative approach with Producers and cross-functional teams
