Location: New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA

Hybrid/On-site/Remote: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days per week in-office)

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Event Ownership: Lead and oversee all phases of event lifecycle production, from initial creative ideation and conceptualization through final onsite execution, strike, and post-event analysis.
  • Financial & Budgetary Management: Develop, monitor, and reconcile project budgets up to $2M; conduct quarterly financial reviews with leadership to safeguard profit margins, identify variances, and proactively implement cost-mitigation strategies.
  • Client Account Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted senior advisor for clients, managing relationship dynamics, communications, approvals, and critical timelines with high professionalism and discretion.
  • Cross-Functional & Creative Collaboration: Partner closely with internal technical, production management, design, and scenic departments to orchestrate the development of technical drawings, line plans, elevations, and 3D renderings that bring the client's vision to life.
  • Team Mentorship: Supervise, guide, and mentor junior producers and event coordinators across active projects, instilling best practices, accountability, and high execution standards.
  • Documentation & Operational Integrity: Author and maintain comprehensive event master documents—including operational budgets, experiential activation decks, detailed master production timelines, run of shows (ROS), pull lists, and contact sheets—ensuring secure asset storage on company servers.
  • Vendor Ecosystem & Compliance Management: Source, negotiate, and manage external vendor and partner networks; collaborate with production managers to secure municipal event permits, certificates of insurance (COI), and strict adherence to localized safety compliance.
  • Commercial Growth & Pre-Sales Strategy: Actively participate in and lead strategic responses to new business RFPs, developing compelling presentation decks and pitching capabilities to prospective clients.
  • Database Contribution: Actively contribute valuable network data to shared company client, vendor, and venue resource databases.

Qualifications:

  • Experience Tier: 8–10 years of proven experience in live event management, experiential marketing, or technical event production, with a minimum of 2 years operating directly at the Senior Producer level.
  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of how microscopic project decisions impact the macro client experience, agency workflow, and overall company profitability.
  • Agile Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-complexity project workstreams simultaneously under accelerated deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including polished presentation presence and meticulous proofreading/editing capabilities.
  • Technical Tool Fluency: Highly proficient with Mac systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, and collaborative project mapping tools like Trello.
  • Schedule Flexibility & Mobility: Ability and willingness to travel extensively and work non-traditional hours—including extended days, nights, 40+ hour weeks, weekends, and occasional holidays—to support live show environments.
