Clutch has a cient looking for a Medical Director with pharma agency experience. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between complex science and creative storytelling, ensuring our pharmaceutical marketing campaigns are medically sound, impactful, and compliant.
As a Medical Director, you will serve as the primary clinical authority for your assigned brands, providing deep therapeutic expertise and strategic oversight. This position requires a high level of collaboration with creative, account, and strategic planning teams to translate clinical data into compelling brand narratives.
Key Responsibilities

Clinical Strategy: Lead the development of the medical platform and scientific narrative for assigned brands, ensuring all communication is grounded in clinical evidence.

Creative Partnership: Work closely with creative teams to ensure medical accuracy while maintaining the emotional resonance and impact of marketing materials.

New Business Development: Play a lead role in new business pitches, providing the scientific "hook" and demonstrating our agency's therapeutic depth to prospective clients.

Product Launches: Drive the medical strategy for product launches, including the development of core claims, market conditioning, and internal/external training materials.

Content Oversight: Review and provide clinical guidance on all promotional materials, including digital assets, sales aids, and HCP-facing content.

Client Relations: Act as a trusted medical advisor to client-side medical affairs and marketing teams, participating in high-level strategic meetings and medical-legal-regulatory (MLR) reviews.

Market Insight: Stay abreast of the competitive landscape, emerging clinical data, and regulatory trends within the pharmaceutical industry.
Qualifications & Requirements

Advanced Degree: MD, PhD, or PharmD is required.

Agency Experience: Proven track record of success within a pharmaceutical advertising or marketing agency setting is mandatory.

Launch Expertise: Significant experience leading medical strategy for product launches in the HCP and/or DTC space.

New Business Savvy: Demonstrated ability to contribute to and win new business pitches.

Communication: Exceptional ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences, from creative teams to specialist physicians.
