Location: Remote (Must be based in the U.S.- EST preferred)

Rate: $75-100/hr DOE (w2)

Clutch is looking for an VP, Digital Strategy with pharmaceutical agency experience for a client of ours.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive omnichannel digital engagement strategy for the entire pharmaceutical portfolio, focusing on creating seamless, personalized experiences for healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of digital engagement strategists, fostering a culture of innovation, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Serve as a key thought leader and senior advisor, both internally and externally, on the evolving digital landscape, emerging technologies, and best practices in pharmaceutical marketing and patient support.
  • Oversee customer journey mapping, persona development, and audience segmentation to inform and optimize engagement strategies across all touchpoints, including but not limited to web, mobile apps, social media, email, etc.
  • Partner with marketing, analytics, brand teams, and IT to ensure data integration and a 360-degree view of the customer, enabling personalized content and timely delivery of information.
  • Ensure all digital engagement strategies and tactics are fully compliant with relevant pharmaceutical industry regulations, including HIPAA, FDA guidelines, and other privacy laws.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of omnichannel initiatives, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead new business and organic growth initiatives by presenting compelling digital and omnichannel strategies that align with business objectives and market needs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in digital strategy within a pharmaceutical agency setting (HCP/DTC)
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role, with a proven track record of building, leading, and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Deep expertise in omnichannel marketing principles and a strong understanding of the unique regulatory and compliance landscape within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Pharmaceutical launch experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data and customer insights into actionable and innovative digital strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong understanding of the complexities of engaging with both HCP and patient audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Business, or Communications.
