Role: Freelance Director, Social Strategy (Pharma)

Clutch is looking for an experienced Director, Social Strategy for a pharmaceutical agency client of ours.
Responsibilities:
Portfolio Oversight: Manage social strategy for a high-volume portfolio of 8–10 pharma clients simultaneously.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Creative, Account, and PM teams to deliver high-impact social content that meets brand objectives.

Social Listening: Oversee social listening workstreams to extract actionable insights and trends within specific therapeutic areas.

Operational Strategy: Collaborate with Strategy and Operations leads to refine workflows, optimize resource allocation, and ensure project profitability.

Client Engagement: Serve as the senior strategic lead in client-facing meetings, presenting complex social roadmaps and performance metrics.

Team Management: Directly oversee and mentor a team of social strategists, ensuring high-quality output and professional growth.
Qualifications:

Pharma Specialist: 6–8+ years of experience specifically within the pharmaceutical/healthcare social media space.

Director-Level Experience: Proven track record of leading social strategy at a senior level within an agency environment.

Regulatory Expertise: Deep comfort level navigating social strategy within the confines of FDA and internal MLR requirements.

Operational Fluency: Highly comfortable working alongside Operations to manage "the business of the business" (staffing, scoping, and process).

Multitasking Excellence: Ability to maintain a high level of strategic focus while pivoting between 8–10 different pharmaceutical brands and therapeutic categories.

Technical Savvy: Expert knowledge of social listening tools and platform-specific capabilities (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) as they relate to healthcare.
