Clutch is looking for a Director, Social Media Strategy with pharmaceutical agency experience for a client of ours.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary strategic lead and enterprise subject matter expert for social media strategy and execution for pharmaceutical clients (HCP/DTC), driving high-level vision.
- Navigate and interpret complex, evolving social policies and global requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry to mitigate risk for the agency and its clients.
- Lead collaboration with internal executive teams and senior client stakeholders to ensure all social media ecosystems and content strategies exceed brand, legal, and medical standards.
- Act as the ultimate point of escalation for platform-wide issue resolution, optimization strategy, and high-stakes platform troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- 6-8 years of leadership experience within a pharmaceutical advertising agency is required (HCP/DTC)
- Proven mastery of the social media architecture and setup process specifically for pharmaceutical products.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, media, or similar required.
- Expert-level knowledge of compliance requirements (MLR/PRC) and the ability to consult on regulatory risk.
- Deep familiarity with high-level commercial timelines and the nuances of the medical/legal approval process.
- Advanced ability to lead troubleshooting efforts and problem-solve systemic platform issues.
- Strong experience with social listening in the pharma space.
- Previous experience in a client-facing position required.
- Proven track record in social media planning, measurement frameworks, and long-term optimization strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, simultaneously.
- Available from Jan-May, 2026, full-time.
