Hybrid/On-site/Remote: Remote

Clutch is looking for an experienced Account Director, Animal Health for a client of ours.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary strategic and operational leader for 1–2 key client accounts, managing a portfolio exceeding $2M annually.
  • Cultivate and strengthen senior-level client relationships, ensuring highly effective partnership and service delivery.
  • Oversee project financials (budgets and staffing plans), proactively identifying and mitigating any budgetary concerns or resource challenges.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommend compelling marketing solutions to meet client business objectives.
  • Guide and oversee the day-to-day activities of account managers and cross-functional teams, ensuring the flawless, high-quality delivery of all assets and deliverables.
  • Become a subject-matter expert on clients’ Legal and Regulatory review processes, ensuring clean submissions and compliance.
  • Drive organic growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within existing accounts and actively supporting agency new business proposals and pitches.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of client competitors' strategies and market conditions to inform internal team efforts.
  • Provide mentorship and support to project teams, embodying a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality to ensure continuous client support.
  • Contribute to the codification and improvement of agency best practices and operational processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in account management within an agency setting.
  • Strong background in healthcare marketing is required; must have previous experience in animal health.
  • Proven ability to manage $2M+ client accounts or a portfolio of similar complexity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial oversight (budgeting, staffing, risk mitigation).
  • Exceptional leadership and mentorship skills, with experience guiding cross-functional project teams.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience or familiarity with Legal/Regulatory review processes in a regulated industry (e.g., Pharma, Health, or Animal Health).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new industries and contribute to agency growth and process development.
