Hybrid/On-site/Remote: Remote (PST)

Salary: $109,000 - $132,000 CAD

Clutch is looking for an experienced Senior Digital Designer for a client of ours, a leading agency focused on crafting high-impact digital experiences.

Responsibilities:

Digital Experience Strategy & Design

  • Serve as a hands-on creative and strategic thinker, crafting user-centered, high-impact digital experiences for diverse channels, including web, mobile, AR/VR, wearables, and other emerging media.
  • Design complete digital experiences, including comprehensive navigation, interface elements, content architecture, and visual systems, ensuring the user experience is delightful and engaging.
  • Translate strategic direction into actionable deliverables such as wireframes, interactive prototypes, UI/UX designs, and design system components.
  • Develop concepts, prototypes, and animations to clearly and persuasively communicate interactive design solutions.
  • Create meaningful visual and experiential deliverables—including storyboards, animations, prototypes, and final presentations—that guide the build process.

Collaboration & Execution

  • Present creative work effectively, articulating the "big idea" and rationale behind design decisions to internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with developers, UX specialists, and copywriters to ensure seamless integration of design, content, and functionality.
  • Build and maintain component libraries in design tools such as Figma and Sketch to ensure design consistency and efficiency across projects.
  • Test and iterate on design solutions based on user feedback, ensuring final experiences are intuitive, scalable, and accessible.
  • Partner with technologists and UX leads to maximize engagement and behavioral impact.
  • Submit and manage work through review cycles, incorporating feedback through completion and final handoff for production.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • 4+ years of professional experience in digital design or experience design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interactive Media, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital experiences, UI/UX, motion design, and healthcare-related work.

Design and Technical Proficiency

  • Expert proficiency in core digital design software, including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch.
  • Proficiency in animation and prototyping tools (e.g., Principle, Spline, Lottie, FigJam).
  • Working knowledge of Generative AI platforms (e.g., Midjourney, ChatGPT, Google Veo, Figma Make, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of typography, color theory, composition, visual hierarchy, and foundational design skills.
  • Ability to create interactive and motion-based design solutions that enhance storytelling.
  • Familiarity with component libraries, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience with 3D design is a bonus (e.g., three.js, Unity, TouchDesigner).

Strategic & Industry Skills

  • Strong interactive and digital engagement thinking, with the ability to transform complex concepts into elegant, user-friendly experiences.
  • Experience designing for healthcare professionals and patient/consumer audiences, proficient at balancing creativity with regulatory and brand compliance.
  • Skilled at presenting and rationalizing design decisions in a clear, confident manner.
