Clutch is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with Pharma Agency experience for a client of ours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage complex, high-visibility pharmaceutical marketing and medical communications projects from initiation to closure, including promotional campaigns, digital initiatives, and submission materials.
  • Process Management: Drive adherence to project management best practices, agency workflows, and strict pharmaceutical regulatory requirements (e.g., MLR/PRC review).
  • Scope & Financial Control: Develop detailed project scopes, timelines, and budgets. Proactively monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure projects stay on track and profitable.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as the central hub of communication, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including Account Services, Creative, Editorial, Strategy, and Medical/Scientific staff.
  • Resource Management: Work closely with the PMO Director or resource manager to define resource needs, forecast utilization, and manage project workloads efficiently.
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Account team and clients regarding project status, milestones, dependencies, and any issues impacting scope or timeline.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior Project Managers and Coordinators on complex project issues and agency processes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of Project Management experience, with at least 3 years managing projects specifically within a pharmaceutical marketing or medical communications agency.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong, demonstrated understanding of the pharmaceutical promotional review process (MLR/PRC) and the submission requirements for various materials (print, digital, video).
  • Skills: Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Workfront, SmartSheet, MS Project) and excellent command of MS Office/Google Suite. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. PMP or equivalent certification is a significant plus.
  • Attributes: Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Must be able to perform under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
