For those that do not already know, the month of June is dedicated to Pride month. Pride month encompasses celebrating the LGBTQA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Asexual) community. It is unreal to acknowledge that gay marriage became legal across the nation only seven years ago and America has a long way to go to recognize rights for everyone in the community.

Leaders need to acknowledge the importance of celebrating Pride month by accepting and celebrating everyone, no matter what gender you identify as or who you love. Here are some of the best ways your office can celebrate Pride month.

Educate your office

The most influential way to celebrate Pride month is to educate your staff about Pride month, the LGBTQA+ community, and the long steps it took to get where we are today. A few documentaries that do a great job of education and celebrating Pride month are:

One of the most popular ways companies have chosen to celebrate Pride month is by changing their logos and branding colors to the colors of the rainbow, aka the Pride flag. Another way to increase the visibility of Pride through your company is to edit and adjust email signatures to include the colors of the Pride flag. This is an easy way for your company to share with their clients, customers, and the world they support and align with the LGBTQA+ community.

Donate to an LGBTQA+ cause

Educating your staff and implementing Pride flags throughout your social presence is crucial, but it is just as important to support the LGBTQA+ community with more. The LGBTQA+ community has come a long way, but they are still stigmatized, attack, and need your help in more ways than one. Celebrate with Pride swag
