Hot Creative Jobs in 2022

As 2021 comes to an end, it’s about that time to look at trends from 2021 and predict what will be popular in the new year. Not only did the job market change rapidly, but the type of jobs changed based on demand. Traditional media went out the window during the pandemic while digital media and marketing took place.

Now that most creative job needs are digital, both candidates and agencies should be looking out for the jobs highest in demand for the new year. Here is our prediction for the top 3 roles for 2022.

Paid Search Specialist

By far, we believe that Paid Search Strategists/Managers will be one of the hottest jobs of the year. Traditional ads on billboards, magazines, newspapers, and TV no longer have the traction they once did. People now get most of their entertainment from social media and the internet as a whole.

Companies should always do thorough audience research, but nearly everyone should be investing in paid ads. Paid ads are on both search engines and social media, which includes: Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Twitter Ads.

There is such a large pull for both agencies and in-house companies to implement paid ads, so much that we believe it will be one of the top jobs of 2022. If you are looking to get into a new field or don’t know where to go after college, we recommend getting into paid ads.

Programmatic Media Planner

Another top contender for 2022’s hottest jobs is Programmatic. Programmatic is a digitally automated program for media buying and planning. As mentioned above, most of the advertising has turned digital. Professionals already in the media buying/planning space should learn the trade of Programmatic.

Programmatic Media Buying is such a new concept that most companies struggle to find talent. Not only does this mean that this is a competitive position, but companies are willing to pay well for available talent.

UX Designer

Although User Experience has been on the rise for the past few years, this position has been exponentially growing. Digital design for apps and websites is only becoming more and more popular. Agencies and in-house businesses must hire individuals that can comprehend and layout a successful customer journey.

Since the advertising and media worlds have become digital, users are looking for more personalized experiences. UX Designers play a crucial role in modern-day advertising, and they will only become more in demand in the new year.

Overall, we can guarantee that most digital roles will continue to grow in demand in 2022. We are nearly positive that individuals in Paid Search, Programmatic, and UX Design will have the best search in terms of opportunities because of the niche skillset needed to perform in these roles.
